Eelmisel nädalal saatis sõber lingi kohaliku võistluse kohta, siinse regiooni (Viseu) xco karikaetapi kohta. Kuna intensiivsust trennidesse vaja, läksin kohale. Mortagua maratoni rada oli sealt läbi käinud, aga peale mõnesaja meetri singlit, ei teadnud ma väga midagi selle raja kohta. Ja olin väga meeldivalt üllatunud varahommikusel treeningtiirul enne võistlust rajatutvumisel. Väga tip-top rada, igati xco, kahju ainult et inimese vähe kohale tuli, meid eliit naisi oli kaks. Aga kuna rada tore ja pingutus plaanis, siis proovisin koguaeg end tagant utsitada, mis sest et enamus ajast üksi metsa all. Enne meid startisid veel seeniorid ja noored, aga ka neid vähe ja nad sõitsid vähem ringe.
Auhinnaks medalike ja meene, milleks oli azulejo (plaat, millega nad siin neid maju nii seest kui väljast plaadivad), minu meelest võiksid kõik portugali võistlused trofee asemel hoopis neid plaate jagada, minu jaoks nii portugal, oleks ehk juba vetsu jagu olemas :)

Last week a friend sent me a link about a local race, Viseu region xco cup. As I need also some intensity in training, I went . The Mortagua marathon had passed the village, but more than few hundred meters I didnt know about the place. So while course recognizing early in the morning, I was so pleasantly surprised. Very nice course, very xco, sad just that not so many people turned up, we elite women were just two. But the course was great and intensity was on plan, so I tried always to push myself, although most of the time I was alone in the forest, before us had started seniors and youngsters, but they did less laps and they were also few.
The award was a medal and a azulejo (the typical Portuguese tile that they use in house building), I would happily receive instead of trophies every time here a tile, I think its so Portugal, and that way I could probably already have a bathroom tiled :)
