Eile siis stardis. Manteigas asub Serra de Estrela mäeahelikus, kus asub ka portugali kõrgeim tipp, ehk et vägagi mägine koht, kuigi nii sinna minnes kui tagasi tulles oli udu nii tihe, et vaadet ei saanud nautida.
Võistlus läks nagu enam-vähem, kuni purunes tagumine kumm, olin rajal 29eriga, ei olnud kummiheebleid kaasas, kuna olen 26 rattal alati ka ilma saanud kummi maha, aga nüüd maadlesin tükk aega, üks minu klubi seerior tuli mulle appi, koos kuidagi pusisime, kuni lõpuks saime vahetatud. Siis sain nii 20 minutit sõita, kui uuesti läks kumm, kuna rohkem mul tagavara kaasas ei olnud, siis hakkasin jalutama. Pakuti kumme, kuid ma teadsin, et mul läheb raskeks vahetamine, siis tänasin ja keeldusin, kuni peale 40 min jalutamist, ühed jäid kindlaks ja ütlesid, et neil heeblid kaasas, seega sain uue kummi sisse ja sain viimased 10 km sõita. Loomulikult ei olnud mul enam mingit kohta, kaotasin esimesele naisele üle pooleteise tunni.

Nüüd see nädalavahetus ilma võistluseta ja siis juba Berni Euroopa meistrivõistlustele.
Yesterday again on start line. Manteigas is in Serra de Estrela, the highest mountain range in Portugal, so it was a hilly place, unfortunately going there and coming back the pass was all in thick fog, so I couldnt enjoy the view.
The race went well until I got a flat, I was with a 29er, as on 26 I normally can change the tire without the tire levers, then I just had a spare tube and a pump, well to get off a 29er was so hard, I messed with it a long time, one of my team´s senior men rider also stopped to help me. Finally we got it fixed. Then I got to ride about 20 min and then had another flat, as I had had only one spare, then I started to walk. People offered me spare tubes, but as I knew it was almost impossible without levers, I thanked and declined. After some 40 min walking two guys insisted to help and they had levers, so I got the tire fixed again and could ride the last 10 km. Of course I was so far off, I lost more than one and half hours to the first.
It happens.
Now this weekend without a race and then to Bern for the European champs.

Alati ei sõltu kõik endast, selline on tehnikasport. Vahtu ei kasuta?
ReplyDeleteMul oli vaht ka kaasas, kuna esimesel purunemisel ei suutnud kummi sees olev vedelik auku ära parandada, otsustasin, et vist on liiga suur auk ja vahtu ei kasutanud. Teisel korral kasutasin vahu ära, aga kasu polnud..
