Tegime kohalikele kingiks ka piparkoogimaja, väga vahva tuli välja, kuigi suur tegu oli alguses, et püsti seisaks, sellepärast ka lamekatusega.
Jõululaupäeva õhtul siis käisime külas, pakuti meile keedukala, keedumuna, keedukartulit ja keedukapsast, kalale valasime oliivõli peale ja oli väga maitsev. Ahjus tehti ära ka meie toodud verivorstid, kuid need vist väga ei meeldinud. Ja maiustustelaud oli ka vägev, palju maitsvaid asju.
Arvasime, et laupäeva söömaga kõik piirdub, kuid tuli välja, et neil traditsioon ka 25. päeval lõunat teha, selleks oli suitsusiga salati ja apelsinidega, ülimaitsev, see oli minu lemmik. Pakuti ka eelmise päeva jääke, kõik keeduasjad olid ära tükeldatud ja lisatud küüslauku, ka see oli päris maitsev. Ning siis oli jälle magustoidulaud, need mis eelmisest päevast järele olid jäänud, nämmi. :)
Christmas here was sunny and cosy. With Greete we baked some ginger breads on Christmas eve, we had made the dough one day earlier. For both of us it was the first time to make the dough from scratch, at home its easy, it can be bought from stores. Here we got all the spices and ingredients and it came out really good, like the real thing. :)
We made a ginger bread house for present and it came out quite good, at first it was hard to make it stay upright, thats why the flat roof.
So on Christmas eve we ate boiled fish with boiled egg, boiled potatoes and boiled cabbage, poured some olive oil on top of the fish and it was delicious. Others could also taste our blood sausages with some cranberry jam, but it seemed that they did not like it. After there was the sweets table, it had so many tasty things.
We thought that that was it with the eating, but as we found out they have tradition to eat also on the 25th, so for lunch we had some smoked pig and salad and oranges, that was my favorite, really tasty. Also they had made food from the things left over from dinner, chopped them and added garlic, that was nice too. And then the desserts again, sweet. :)
