Swiss Bike Trophy - Bern

Eile õhtul korraldati Bernis 1. kategooria XCO võistlus, mis oli omasuguste seas ikka väga eriline. Nimelt võistlusrada oli Berni kesklinnas, start parlamendi hoone eest, kogu rada oli kas asfalti või munakivi peal, välja arvatud siis juurde ehitatud takistused. Ring ise oli vaid 1,6 km pikk. Publiku peibutuseks oli stardi-finishi ala juures selline ring, et silla alt läbi, ümber purskkaevude, mis sõidu ajaks tööle pandi, siis üle kolme väikese bmxi mäekese ning siis sillale, mis oli päris järsk, peale paduvihma oli päris libe, sillalt alla oli pandud risti palgid, kus alguses oli kõrge palk ja all hüpekas. Siis natuke tavalist tänavasõitu, siis kahe astmega puurestid, kus ma oma tagujooksu kergelt kaheksasse sain, siis olid üle tänava risti palgid, siis hüpekas, siis kurvis pooleteiste meetri kõrgune ehitatud mägi, kust alla minnes tuli risti üle treppide sõita. Siis uhamist asfaldil paari hüpekaga ja kõige raskemaks takistuseks kujunes trepi laskumine, mis oli kurviga, sest seal oli aste, keere ja pikk trepp, kus soenduse ajal ikka otsisin seda õiget trajektoori, võistlusel tuli kõik välja ja see oli koht, kus natuke võitsin endaga koos sõitvate naiste seas. Siis oli umbes järsk 200meetrine tõus, mis lõppes trepiastmetega ja peale seda, paarisaja meetri pärast oligi ring läbi. Tegemist oli rajal küllaga!
Stardist sain päris hästi minema, muidugi massiga minnes oli esimesel ringil paar jooksukat, teisel ringil kaotasin kuhugi palju aega, treener võttis mu aegu võrreldes neljandaks tulnud sõitjaga, et just teine ring oli mul aeglane, siis ülejäänud olid vaid umbes 10sekundilised kaotused Sanerile ringi peale. Ise olin seda teadmatagi rahul peale oma sõidu lõppu, kuna sõitsin tihedas konkurentsis tublisti. Rahvast on Sveitsis juba maailmameistrivõistluseks palju kokku tulnud ja sõit oli väga rahvusvaheline, mõned tugevad sõitjad otsustasid eile mitte startida, kuna risk kukkuda oli päris suur ja pehmet maandumist ei olnud loota. Ise püsisin kogu aeg rattal:)
See oli väga lahe võistlus, midagi teistsugust ja andis järgmiseks nädalavahetuseks jõudu juurde, kuna Champery`s on tehniline ja raske XCO rada.


Yesterday evening there was a first category race in Bern, which was really special. The course was in downtown Bern, start-finish area in front of the parliament, the whole course was on asfalt or cobble stones except for the built obsticles. The track was just 1,6 km long. For specators there was a little circle near start area, under a bridge around fountains, which worked during competition, then three rolling bumps, then a sharp uphill to the bridge, which was pretty tricky with the rain we got, and down the bridge they had put some wood with jump in start and end of the little bridge downhill. Then a bit of time on normal street, then two leveled wood boxes, there I managed to hit my back wheel into 8, then some wood across the street and then a jump, then in a corner a 1,5 meter high built obsticle with big stairs going down. Then some hammering on the asfalt with some jumps and the trickiest part of the course was one staircase with a turn, there was one step, then turn and then long staircase. When i was warming up I really had to search for the right line to go down, in competition all worked very well and that was a place where I gained time over other girls who were riding with me. Then a steep 200 meter uphill with a step in the end and then after some hundred meters the lap was finished. So there was lots to do on the course!
I started pretty well, of course with all the girls together there were some running parts in the first lap, on the second lap I lost quite much time somewhere as my coach said to me after, because the next ones were good, he was taking time compared to the girl who got 4th place, and the lost time for a lap was around 10 seconds in the next laps, so not bad at all. Without knowing that I was really happy with my race when I finished, I had raced well in such a tight competition. Lots of teams and nations are already in Switzerland, so  the race was really international, some women who had arrived yesterday did not start at all, because the course was demanding and the fall would not have been soft. I myself stayed on the wheels all the time:)
It was a cool race, something really different and it gave me strength for the next weekend, because the course in Champery is really demanding.
