Võistlused Sloveenias

Alustan siis eelmise nädala keskelt. Kolmapäeval oli plaanis Zlati Gricis teise kati võistlus. Juba teisipäeval oli jube palav ja kuna teadsin, et mulle kuumus eriti ei istu, siis proovisin rohkem sees olla. Aga meie hostelis, kus me peatusime, ei olnud väga jahe ka sees. Ei olnud neid korralikke kiviseinu, mis hoiaksid jahedust, seega sai juba kergelt praadinu tundega kolmapäeva pärastlõunal võistluspaika mindud. Stardist sain hästi minema, rada oli muidugi täiesti titekas, lihtsalt muruküngastel sõit viinamarjaväätide vahel. Varju ka ei olnud, jube esimese ringi keskel tundsin, et ei ole see, mis peaks, teisel olid külmavärinad. Sõitisin veel natuke ja kobisin maha, kuna tervis tähtsam ja ka mõttes juba pühapäevane esimenese kati võistlus.
Õnneks ilm tegi muutuse reedel, kui oli mõnus vihmasajune ilm ja nädalavahetus oli selline kesmine 20 kraadi, täpselt paras suveilm. Rada Ravne na Koroskemis oli lahe. Korralik XCO rada, raske tõus ja juurikaline laskumine, vihmast oli veel mitmeid mudavanni kohtigi. Tõsiselt meeldis sõita! :)
Nüüd juba kodus, ei taha kohe meenutadagi seda pikka autosõitu, mis eelmistel päevadel selja taha jäi. Nüüd saab natuke pikemalt kodus olla.

I will start from the middle of last week. On Wednesday I had planned a C2 race in Zlati Gric. Already on Tuesday the weather was getting very hot, because I know I cannot tolerate the heat very well, then I stayed as much as possible inside. But the hostel where we were staying did not keep the coolness very much, lack of decent stone walls, so I was not feeling fresh on Wednesday afternoon. Start was good, but the track was really easy. Just grass hills between the wine yards. There was no shade as well, so one the first lap I felt not good, on the second I had goose bumps and then after sometime I quit, health is more important, and I had already the Sunday's race in mind.
Luckily the weather changed, had nice rainy day on Friday and weekend nice summer weather with 20 degrees average. The track in Ravne na Koroskem was very cool. Real XCO race, hard climb and rooty downhills, there was also mud swamps from the rain. Really enjoyed to ride! :)
Now already at home, dont want to even remember the hard car drive that we did. Now I can be at home for a longer while. :)
